Just received this email below I figure most people would be happy to hear that there is finally going to be a real 4x4 show on a commercial station rather than the usual 4wd tv stuff.
Pat Callinan comes across well on the screen I am sure it will be worth tuning in to.
MEDIA RELEASE: 24.9.08, 11am

PAT CALLINAN'S 4X4 ADVENTURES

In less than three weeks time, Australia's very first national 4X4 television series will be launched on Network TEN. Pat Callinan's 4X4 Adventures will be eagerly anticipated by the touring public, who are keen to experience the freedom and places that only a 4X4 can offer.

Former 4WD magazine editor Pat Callinan will take viewers to places that only a 4X4 can access, meeting great people, seeing amazing sights and showing plenty of handy tips and hints along the way. Cape York, the Kimberley, the Victorian High Country - all of the places that most Aussies would love to see (minus the crowds!).

Pat is a firm believer that most people with 4WDs in the driveway yearn to one day drive down a red dirt road: "Most people are just a little concerned about the distances and the safety of outback four-wheel driving. Once they learn a few tips from the show, there'll be no stopping them! And there's no better country in the world to experience four-wheel driving."

Please see the attached PDF for further information and some sneak preview images from the film shoot.

For further information, interviews or hi-res images, please the details below.

Cheers
Paul.

I wish!
I would have loved a working trip to the Kimberleys.
I had my Madigan Line trip planned and the dates clashed maybe next time.

As far as I know no Roothy wont be appearing hes to busy with his 4wd Action commitments and Caravan & Motorhome stuff.

Interesting thing will be seeing how the Kias go as they were the vehicle sponsor.

I hear what you are saying for sure.
I guess they will be just covering all the general spots that the mags usually cover it will just be on TV instead of in a mag.

The guys from 4x4 Australia did a trip and articlel on the Madigan Line a couple of years ago and well the traffic across there has increased alot since then.
Im sure the article had something to do with it.
I just hope someone controls this area better than the standard Simpson French Line crossing as that has turned in to a real mess out there.
