Someone had to do it, so I'll cop the bagging LOL.
Geelong and Hawthorn.
If it plays to form The Cats should win by 10 goals or more. The last time a team was this good (Essendon 2000) the GF was a formality. Prior to that, Carlton 1995 and beyond that, Collingwood in the 30's who went through a season (18 games) undefeated.
Based on past history
Geelong will wander home at their leisure. Great teams do not get beaten in GF's and this mob is coached by a "hard nut" Sheedy clone and will not be beaten IMHO.
Funny thing is some critics actually give Hawthorn a chance.
I don't, Cats by at least 10 goals for me.
Jim

"Funny thing is some critics actually give Hawthorn a chance. "
I am no critic, but I hope Hawthorn will win it this year and I think they have just as much chance as the cats do.
Share it around I say, unless it's the Crows... they can win it as much as they like
Cheers Luke

Greendog
What have Collingwood supporters and sperm got in common?
They both have 1 in 5 million chance of becoming human.
(I hope you have a sense of humour - that just got rid of some of my depression caused by collingwood beating the crows)

I hold you to that mate,
Geelong will not win by 10 goals or more. It will be a cracker of a game, but it will not be a blow out.
If Buddy and Roughhead fire then it will be all over.
Go the Hawks.

Must remember people,
Geelong only beat the Hawks by 11 pts in rd 17. I believe the Hawks are a bit stronger now than then and I believe that the cats may just be slipping a little. We will know Saturday arvo.
Dont care who wins as im an Eagles supporter but the Hawls by 19pts

I live in
Geelong, and I gotta tell you, it's a horrible town when the Cats are doing
well.
That's the only reason I hope the Hawks get up by 1 point with a goal after the final siren from a questionable free kick.
By the way, Footscray won the Brownlow. 2009, the year-of-the-dog.
Cheers
Jeff

Hi Jeff, way back in the distant past, in the land of the 'Long White Cloud', VFL wasnt exactly of major interest to me.
However, I do recall a club called Footscray playing in the league at the time.
Now that Im living here and developing an interest in the game they seem to have disappeared off the map.
What happened to Footscray.
Cheers.....Lionel.

Lionel.
They went yuppie and changed their name to Western Bulldogs. Reckoned it would open up more marketing opportunities than being known as a down-at-the-arse western suburb.
The one concession today is a small FFC logo on the back of the jumpers to recognise Footscray Football Club.
To me, they'll always be Footscray.
Being a "
young bloke" myself, and their one and only flag being in 1954, the year before I was born, I live in hope that they can take another flag before I die.
Cheers
Jeff

Cats by over 100 points. I just hope they don't win by more than 119 points. I want the Powder Puffs to hold that record for ever.

Went

Now, as it has been well documented here on this

Anything can happen in a Grand Final. Whilst your theory and logic sounds true the Hawks are capable of hitting Geelong very hard physically and shaking them up a little. The Cats are good enough to withstand this but it will depend on their performance on the day. A team that has not really lost this year (Apart from Pies) is always vulnerable should everything go the other teams way suddenly and with increased pressure, however the seamingly impassable defence of Scarlett and Co should put them in good stead. We shall soon find out..!
P.S. If the Cats lose do we have access to your email ..?? LOL
