Fitting a steel bull bar to 100series live axle

I am planning to change over a factory alum bullbar on my gxl to a TJM steel bar that will allow me to have a winch mounted. Is this a straight forward operation or is dealing with the air bags an issue I should leave to getting the whole thing sorted by a workshop/mechanic. The new steel bar is airbag compatable.
Any advice/experience would be appreciated.
Thanks ....Mayesy

If you have the instructions its no big deal.

I bought a s/h bar and an airbag mounting kit and it took a

couple of hours to get it on and looking neat

The air bag sensors are mounted to the front of the body of the vehicle, near the headlights. All your new bullbar will have differant is crumple zones in the mounting.Other than that, its bolt straight up like normal.

The mounts actually have a rubber part in them which you have to bolt the steel bits to and then mount it all up. Dont actually crumple by the look of them just move back and forward

Brentos...regarding the wobble. I got a new set of tyres and seems to now do it much less frequently though still occasionally does it. I have not pursued the solution any further and decided to live with it. Brand new tyres definitely semed to help although as I said not completely cured. What are your tyres like?
cheers...

im running just cooper h/t with about 70% tread, i think i do need a wheel balance but i think my problem may be more to do with the converter in the auto but if i use the overdrive switch at the right times i can avoid the problem

any way thanks for your info
