Discovery body cracks

Hi gents
Just wondering has any discovery owners encountered body mounting cracks starting at the sill panel above the chassis outrigger. Is this cracking fixed simply by welding the mount and sill properly or is this another ongoing problem

I did a search of the Yahoo Australian Disco II archive and there was no mention of cracking at this site. How old is your vehicle? LR may repair it even if it is out of warranty.

Thanks for that Bob. Its a 98 series 1. Better inspection today revieled the same prob occuring on the 4 mounts in the mid section of the car. Looks like spot weld weakness started the rot and the sills are seperating. The fix?
Well I reckon on going back to the rally car prep days and seem welding the bugger properly.Luckily ive got a mate with a good mig who knows how to use it.
