Hello all,
Looking for some figures on fuel consumption of above vehicles please.
Easy Highway, Aound town and perhaps towing if possible.
Not asking for much am I ?
Both would be Auto's.
I'm over my 3ltr TD Patrol and these two cars are my first two choices.
Thanks for any replies.
Regards Alan.

G'day Alan,

I've got a 100 series 4.7 automatic L/Cruiser and my consumption figures seem to go between 18 & 23mpg (town / highway). Say 16/12lt/100km in the new currency) Having said that, I try not to drive it around town unless SWMBO has taken the small set of wheels.

Sitting at anything over 100kph on the highway really starts to cause the fuel gauge to drop while you watch.

Good luck with your search. I've had the LC for about 3 months now and am very happy with it. Sorry I can't help with towing figures but I feel sure others can.

Cheers,
Chris.

I don't usually miss those questions Alan

The cruiser is around 5-10% better in practise as Phil figures (he meant 17.2 for 4800 not the thrister 4500.

The larger torque and better transmission efficentcy in the manual 4800 patrol means its about the same as the cruiser though and this has been borne out in the figures I have recorded over a long time at about 16.5lt/100km and about 18 touring with towing 800kg of bike trailer, rising to about 22 across places like simpson no trailer and 25 with.
