What is that Terrano TD2.7 part and what dose it do.

This part is atop the throttle spindle on the injector pump.
It has six wires coming out of it and they all lead to a connector that plugs into the main wiring harness next to the positive battery terminal on the right side.
It is adjustable as pics will show.
I have had no end of problems with very late auto gear changing.
As long as I left the AC switch in hold the problem disappeared.
Now I have disconnected the wires from this device and all is
well.
Gears change Ok now.
If anyone knows what this device is for or how to tell if it works or how to adjust it properly.
I would appreciate all advice.

TPS, Throttle Position Switch. presume it should be connected, but others with more knowledge than me will be able to give you the correct mode. Good luck

looks like a tps swich, it shouldn't need adjusting as it gives the computor the fuel setting position. if everything works when disconnected it means you are driving in( limp home mode), and you have faults in other areas
