I took the troopy and the bushman to the auto electrician this morning.
It cost $100 to put in new wiring, anderson plug, fuse holder etc and labour.
It took 6 mtrs of 6 B&S cable. One 5 mtr lenght ran from the battery to the fridge and a one mtr length was earthed in the back of the troopy.
We decided to cut the original fridge lead back to within 300 mm of its connection to the fridge.
The fridge ran for about 3 hours before I was convinced it was once again reliable.
To all those that gave me advise on this matter I thank you very much. I am now one very happy little vegimite.
Regards Bob

You'll never regret doing that, now all you have to worry about is if your beer freezes,
cheers Matt
