Howdy people. I'm on the prowl for a full roof rack setup for my 1999 Pajero GLX. I'm looking for a steel job and have thus far looked at ARB (~$1000), some locals about the same price, Opposite Lock etc. Recently saw 4wdsystems ads (www.4wdsystems.com.au), rang them and they can do one for around $500 + delivery. Looked at the website and they look pretty good, but has anyone out there got one or heard of them? Or can anyone recommend a manufacturer, preferably in
Perth? Gotta be a good strong setup..............
Cheers,
Will.

I have heard of them, and heard pretty good reports. Not personal experience though . . . sorry.

If this is an NM Pajero, i had the same dillema before going to
Cape York last year. After trying a whole bunch of alternatives I finally settled on a Rhino Rack and basket. I know that was a little more expensive than many other alternatives, but I considered the weight compared to a steel rack plus the many modular attachments which are designed for rhino racks as
well (which i now use and find extremely useful)(eg shovel holder, condiut holders, high lift jack support etc) was the swaying factor. This setup was strong enough to endure 3,456,872,133 corrugations - a good
test for robustness. Don't forget to take the rack weight into account when assessing the rack against the roof rating.
Cheers
