hi all, firstly i guess i should introduce myself, my name is jamie, i'm from
brisbane. my offroad experience is quite limited, mostly beach and the occasional play around at land cruiser mountain
park. this is why i have become a member of this site, my wife and i are keen to get out and about, down and dirty so to speak. we are both keen fishers with a small boat. we frequent monduran and would like to know if there is a 4x4 drive in that area (
gin gin) we could do while we are there.
thanks in advance and i look forward to any suggestions you may have.
jamie

hehehe good one zukscooter, ya got me. i felt like a numbskull for the second time today, the first was, i ordered a set of mtr's and when i went to get them this arvy, i told the bloke i didn't like the blue lettering, " oh no sir that comes off". i think i had him fooled into thinking i knew what i was on about till then too. somehow i think this is just the beginning of feeling like a right royal twit.

Hi Jamie
There is a 4wd club in
Bundaberg which is 50k from
Gin Gin. They have a contact email address
: bundy4wd@bigpond.com
An email to them might net you some decent info. They also have a website. Just google "
Bundaberg 4wd"
regards Kc

Try the Mt Perry area.
There is the road through the train tunnel about 20km on the
Gin Gin side of Mt Perry signposted off the main road. (not 4WD)
But then there is the Bomber wreck up in in Kroombit tops (4WD a good idea) which can be accessed from either the Calliope end or up from Nagoorin on the
Many Peaks road.
If you came out from
Gin Gin and did the tunnel, there is a road through interesting country north through
Many Peaks to Nagoorin. Kroombit Tops is up to the left.
Web search of Betsy will give you the story of the bomber
http://home.st.net.au/~dunn/ozcrashes/qld89.htm
Enjoy the area.
Alan

What about Goodnight Scrub? I have not been down there but I have been told it is OK. Not hard core 4 wheeling but dirt, and OK
camping down by the river........aparently.
I am on the nth side of Brissy, MM if you would like to catch up one day or I can let you know when we are heading out for a play next time if you want.
Enjoy this site and hope others have more interesting spots for you to visit.
Regards, Trevor.
