Evening all
Me, wife and 2 kids are off to Fraser Is. tomorrow. Campsite's booked and Hilux is packed. Has anyone been recently and is there anything i need to know. Was last up there as a 19 yr old with the boys 23yrs ago. Can't wait.

check my reply in the other fraser thread, i just got back last thursday from 2 weeks camped there on the beach about 3 klms north of the cathedral shops.
Tailor were on the chew just north of Dundaburra, bigger ones getting caught at night just south of indian head. we caught 32 tailor in an hour and a half between 4 of us, that was plenty so it was time for brekky, make sure you cut their throats and not just break their necks, makes them bleed properly and taste evn better.

fuel was cheapest at eurong $2.15 / ltr i think from memory, orchid beach i think was $2.18 / ltr, cathedrals was $2.25 i think and kingfisher was about $2.47 / ltr. prices may not be exact but pretty close and definately in that order of cheapest to dearest, and about right for difference in prices.
