It always happens when you do some one a favour!. Helped the b/inlaw, move house on the weekend and on one of the hills near his new destination the bottom mounting bolt on the alternater let go, what a mess.!, the serpentine belt with all its tension pulled the alternater fan into the power steering pump pulley, that then was to much for the top mounting bolt so it flew into the bundocks as well . end result in about thirty seconds was the alternater bouncing along the road underneath!., with some very stretched wires following. A very bush mech, repair was instigated. A long handle screw driver for a bolt with tie wire at each end to hold in place, a trimmed down piece of wood jammed between the alternater and engine block so the thing couldn't move forward. Been like it for three days .the auto electrician is going to keel over in the morning ..LOL.
