Hi Chris
Still at the Koolatong, as for the COKE CAN sized cherabin! Ha, there are none in the river! Only caught red claw, spoke to a black fella and he tells me there are none in this river! Have a word to Duck for me will you :) (have tried upsteam and downsteam)
Had a couple of bites, but yet to catch anything. Have put the "Biscuit" in upstream as downstream is quite blocked by fallen trees. Yet to go to the sink hole.
I hear we made the Gove rag :))))
Have tried to email you via the Bgan but just won't work(yes have tried both mail accounts)
Heard via the HF VKS that Bernadette doesn't need surgery, though i feel like i have a broken ribb. Yep, stepped out of the back of the troopy onto the gen set and the fell on it! Right on my ribbs. I think we are cursed! :)
Cheers Lyndon

Hi Lyndon,
Bernadette rang today from Adelaide, mostly good news with her broken arm from falling out of the back of the troopy. Adelaide Ortho Specialists seemed to think that Gove Hospital did most things right...
How many beers had you had when you decided to copy her stunt and fall out the back of the troopy onto the gennie???
Do you need to be recovered again or will you just bit your teeth through the pain & soldier on?
Will tell Duck that you're after him for giving bad info, but you must admit there are worse places to spend some time other than alongside a beautiful pristine spring fed river in the heart of East Arnhem Land?

Cheers,

Chris

Hi Chris
Things are looking up here, 2 Barra in 10 minutes this morning!
Not to many beers when I fell over the gen set, more last night!
Cooked a roast and got absolutely smashed, looked like a blind man washed the dishes last night
The river is very pretty, so if you want to get your but down here I can probably take you for a ride.
Just have the Minn Kotta on as this makes it easy to flick lures, and yes there are worse places to be!
No mozzies either, just the blood sucking green eyed flies!
Cheers Lyndon

The coordinates for the turn off to the sink hole are:
13 12.050S, 135 44.572E

The actual sinkhole is at:
13 12.386S, 135 45.097E

and it looks like this:Koolatong Sinkhole

For others, there is more info on the area here:

Between you two Russell Coights i am surprised you didnt end up in China lol...
If you want big Cherabin,, use chicken pelletts...
After what Chris Pishaba put you and Berns through i might give his tours a miss...
Sounds too dangerous for us city slickers..

Nup, they did it all on there own... Nothing to do with me, I'm just the rescue party, photographer, film maker.
Even nestled up safely in the rooftop tent, you're still $hit scared of crocs, but your ladder does look easy for them to climb!!!

Hi Chris, Yes the guy with the white ute is here. He did a trailer bearing on the way in and had to drive to one of the communities to get a replacement.
He has caught 1 large barra.
