I am wondering if an offroad jayco camper van would be easier to tow on
the beach than an off road camper trailer?

I suspect the Jayco would be harder than an Off Raod camper Trailer, but I suppose it depends on the tyres, the weight, the track width etc.

I think the Jayco would be a lot wider than a camper trailer. You would be draging another set of tyres.
My camper has the same wheel width as the vehicle, so only one set opf wheel tracks.

I pulled my Hawk over to Fraser a few years back. It was pretty hard going in the soft stuff. Track width, tyre pressures and weight are the variables to look at. The jayco is wider and heavier than a lot of normal campers.

You can tow anything on
the beach or sand, but what will make it better to tow, is that you make sure that you drop tyre pressures, in your vehicle and your camper.
I find that what ever I take the 4B's pressure down to, I then take the camper 3 - 4 psi lower. Works on foot print, and it's one of the best things I have discovered, or should I say was taught !
Safety side of things, less pressure, less speed. But if you need momentum, then its on for only as long as you need it.
Cheers
