Been using Sensatyre system for a couple of years. Gives Pressure and temperature as well as a few alarms. Been very good. Can't fault it. If you're travelling and towing a trailer/van, get one that has the provision to cover more than 4 tyres that way you can have your spare/s and other tyres all covered by the one instrument. There are a few on the market that do them these days, Sensatyre, Autron.

Hope this helps. Mick

Hi
I've used Tyredog for over a year now and been very happy with it. Does pressure and temperature. The biggest point in favour is the ease of fitting. Just screws on instead of a valve cap with a neat little monitor for in the cab that is battery powered or runs off 12 volt. I personally would not like one that requires tyre removal.
I had a 4 tyre set up but just sold that to a friend and bought a 6 tyre one since we now have a camper trailer. Again very neat and can be switched from 4 to 6 tyres at the push of a button depending on if you are towing or not.
About $400 for 4 or $600 for 6 but sometimes you can get show specials etc.
I guess it needs to save a couple of tyres to pay for itself but in the meantime you get peace of mind and hopefully do not wreck a tyre in a place you cannot get a replacement.
Cheers
Dave

I bought these ones SecuTire See them here

http://www.kysonix.net/ky/ProductEn.asp?BigClassName=SecuTire&Smallclassname=&page=3&id=

Got the 10 tyre version Cost me $300 US from China including postage.

Have tried them on the van and it picks them up fine. They are set for the pressures you want on each wheel or set of and you can adjust the warning pressures yourself. Mine are set at 40psi for car and 50psi for van
Far cheaper than buying them here

I have a set of 4 Tyredogs which I am happy with. When I tow my boat trailer I can easily transfer the sender units from the Troopy to the trailer. Means I get no help with the Troopy tyres then but more likely to notice one of them than the trailer. They have recently changed the "locking" mechanism on the sender units from a form of locknut, to a grub screw turned with a small allen key which I reckon is an improvement. The only disadvantage for me is the maximum "alarm" pressure you can set is 60 psi, which I find I exceed with Light Truck tyres and a full load, so it keeps telling me I am over the high limit on my rear tyres. I know what it is though.
This is my second set as some low life stole the display unit of my first set, but not the sender units on the tyre valves. You can't seem to buy just the display. I understand that if you lose the senders you can get new ones, but special ones that can learn the right connection to your display as each set is matched, presumably to stop interference from one set to another nearby.
