Hi all,
I have been looking at forums all over for good easy things to
cook when away. I saw an interview with two ladies that had written a
cook book called 4 ingredients and thought I will have to have a look at it when I see it in the shops.
Well I found this book when I was shopping in coles last week and took it home, made a cuppa and started looking through it. Boy was I surprised, this book is great and has some great reciepes in there that I had never seen before. All reciepes have 4 ingredients or less which makes it great for
camping as you dont want to carry loads of differant foods to make one recipe.
I would even go as far to say this is the best, cheapest and easiest cookbook I have ever come across.
I paid $12.99 in coles for it but did see it later for $18.99 at a book
shop. They have also brought out a second book (which is red and the first being green) so I ran out and brought that too.
This book also has handy hints in there too and I thought I had seen them all but there is a lot I havent seen before in these books.
Well as this is my 1st post I have raved on a bit, I will try and put some of the
recipes on here for you too have a look.
Cheers
Betty

Hi bettyboo ...
"I will try and put some of the

Nice thought, but be mindful of copyright in doing that, because Dave (Exploroz site owner) would be the one who gets done for it.
Cheers

Interesting point, copyright on
recipes.
Three of my cookbooks have a recipe for Shepard’s Pie but no one is suing anyone over that.
Who owns the copyright for the recipe for Tomato Soup or beans on toast come to that?
Providing you don’t reprint half the book word for word I think they would have an impossible time trying to establish ownership of a recipe otherwise every restaurant would have to pay royalties on all dishes not invented by their own chef.

Did you get this email Mike?
"Jamie Oliver's new
cook book for free!
How good is this.....
Cook book = £20
Ingredients = £10
Getting sacked for "accidentally" releasing the book to the entire
planet before it even hits the shelves = PRICELESS!
It seems that someone at Jamie Oliver's publishing company sent a word document version of his 2nd book to one of their mates this morning. Unfortunately for the poor sap who sent the word document, it is now flying around the web at a rate of knots. So print what you like AND please spare a thought for the poor sod that originally sent it, while enjoying the food you make from the
recipes!!!
The deal of the day - Jamie Oliver's latest
cook book. RRP £20 at most participating book stores. Yours for nothing! Enjoy & Pass it on!!"
and yes, it came with the full
cook book!
Cheers

Hairy, to be correct if you use beef, it is a Cottage Pie.

Frankly, a Jamie Oliver
cook book for $0.00 is rather overpriced.

I think those two ladies need to check their copyright legality, as the idea was done in 2002 by Ruth Wornall, in the USA.
When I was searching for
camping friendly
recipes three years ago, I bought Viv Moons book only to find that I would need another trailer to carry all the ingredients and cookware needed. Then, in Woollies one day I saw, "The Three Ingredient Cookbook," which, after a quick browse, I immediately bought. I found the latter a much more usable basis for our menus. When the first of the Aussie ladies' books appeared I compared some of the
recipes I use and found they were exactly the same. I haven't bought their book on principle, so I just memorize a recipe and then look in their book in the
shop and usually find the same one. So if anyone needs a legal defense that would be all you'd need.
Sheila.

hi, for any one with pay tv there is now the 4 ingredients show on lifestyle from the people that wrote the book and there is also a web site that you can go to and subscribe to a monthly newsletter (email) that they send you a couple of
recipes and up dates for free.

Betty,
Maybe email Adele to see if she can get those books added to the ExplorOz
shop, so everyone will be able to access them if they wish to purchase.
Cheers Kev
