Counted up the change (twice after a drunken session) and was going to give to the Salvo's as usual.

Then had a bit of a thought. There was a charity mob around who looks after isolated mothers and kid's in the bush, but I can't find any reference to it anymore.

It's only $270 an won't do much I know, but every little bit helps.

Quite prepared to donate it to the next EXPOROZ bash, if you can identify a good bush charity.

Regards

Kim

The RFDS has always been a good stable operation that is always in need of funding and helps more Aussies then most of us will ever know.

Bit of a follow up because I know I don't express myself all that well.

At the last count there are around 2000 payed up members on this site.

A donation of $2 each, equals $4,000 to support the bush. This is about one third the price of a fancy cup of coffee.

If you all have the balls, I reckon we can raise far more than that leading up to the next EXPOROZ get together.

I'm counting on the whole lot of you to put in. Don't think this is the end of it.

Kim

Kim,

Bonz is the organiser of the next EO Gathering with reasonable numbers. At this stage there is 17 listed as attending the Pyrenees next month.
Other than that the next major one so far is in St George this time next year.

Cheers Kev

The Flying Doc is a wonderful service that deserves support from everyone who travels. Not only do they do the obvious emergency work but also run clinics in isolated places, etc.
Alternatively, consider a "non-people" cause - the Australian Wildlife Conservancy always needs funds to purchase special areas for conservation and research - they also at times need volunteers in some interesting places.
