We are traveling from
Echuca to
Brisbane in a 4x4 and would like to know if any one had some interesting way to get there other than made roads , ie through national parks etc , desert anything but bitumin .
For starters we thought ,
Hay to Wilcania
White cliffs then to
Bourke along The
darling river track , but after that who knows ?

If you go out west then after
Bourke you are almost at
Brisbane.
If you travel up the great dividing range then there are plenty of possibilities. eg come over to about
Goulburn and then up to
Bathurst,
Hill End,
Mudgee, Musellbrook,
Scone, Over Gilbralter Range,
Gloucester,
Walcha, Kempsey,
Wollomombi,
Grafton, back up the old Gwyder Highway through Dalmorton (tunnel) to Glen Innes, Up to
Tenterfield East to Mallanganee then north through the
richmond Range forest
trails to near Kyogle then up through the Lions Road over the border to enter
Brisbane from
Beaudesert.
Just a thought. Great country but lot of slow roads.
Enjoy whichever way you go.
