Waeco Fridge Slide Options,

Hi Trendsetters,

Am I the only person that thinks Waeco are smoking something they should be mowing when they're asking $375 for a slide to suit a CF110?

Anyone got any cheaper options?

They Waeco seconds shop have them on for $375, down from $375! Go figure the bargain in that one, I can't!

I'm going to wander off to a local mob called Ovesco this week. They sell all sorts of wonderful things.

If I can get a couple of tracks for reasonable cash I'll make my own!

Geoff
Geoff,

Grey hair is hereditary, you get it from children. Baldness is caused by watching the Wallabies.

Thanks for the recommendation Jon,

But we don't do the big fridge slides. The demand for them and the cost of components doesn't warrant it. The small ones we do at $250 are more as a service to our customers so that they can have a slide that matches our _Affordable_Storage_Drawers.aspx.

Geoff, you are welcome to call me and I'll talk you through how to make one, always happy to help members here. I can also email you some photos to help. 03 9706 6527.

Regards,

Jim.

G`day Geoff,
I have a 80 ltr Trailblaza fridge that I am building a slide for at the moment.
I bought the rails (runners) from Tassie, the same mob have them on Ebay now, see item No 220290293688.
I got them a bit cheaper coz I bought two pair , I am making two slides side by side one for the fridge and another for the outboard motor and they both needed to be heavy duty, they are 1m (1000 mm ) long and rated to hold 100 Kg.
They were the only ones I could find for this job.

Good luck,

Scrubby.

I used a pair of slides from an old filing cabinet and welded them to a bit of plate steel, I sat the waeco in the old drawer, fitted perfectly.

Really cheap setup but it works.

I made one from inline skate bearings and Gal angle. Bearings off ebay, bolts from Hardware, steel from supplier scrap. Cost around $60 plus my welding time. Strong as an ox though. Can take a few pictures if you would like to try to make one yourself. Cheers Tony
