Has anyone used the Outback Beds map to navigate around NSW and south west Qld? I have to some extent and found it to be very accurate, free and have also stayed at some of the members properties. Got the map at the VIC in Thargomindah on our way south. First place we stayed at was Kilcowera Station. We first read about Outback Beds in the Outback magazine a few years ago. Worth a look!

We stayed at Kilcowera Sataion a few weeks ago for a couple of nights. What wonderful hosts and a great time we had.

Forgot to say that we also intended to stay at Nardoo station for 2 nights . The husband had broken his foot and they seemed very unorganised as the wife came down to the campsite towards dark to collect our camp fees with no information about the station and promised to drop a map of property of the next morning so we could do a self drive but did not sight her.
Before leaving for our holiday this was going to be the highlight of my trip as all the reading about it sounded so good but believe me I was so disappointed with the reception we received we decided to stay only one night and told everyone on our travels what an awful experierce we had.
I think tyhe onwers should go and stay at Kilcowera Station and see how to run a lovely and organised station stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Kilcowera too Julie, found it to be very well set up, shame about the other station, Nardoo. I have heard that it is a good place for a stopover, maybe they were having a bad hair day (a broken foot would prob do it! ).

Anyone else got a report on any of the other Outback beds places? We stayed at PJ's underground at White cliffs and also Kidmans Camp at Bourke, both were excellent. Cheers gecko
