I've not paid much attention to blogs so far, but thought I'd have a look tonight.
Buggered if I can work it out.
As an example, I followed a link to Motherhen's Blogs - looking to see her reports on Tassie.
I can find a listing of several reports, but I'm assuming she has posted more than a couple of lines with each.
I'm just not smart enough to access the reports.

Once I can read other peoples blogs, the next question will be how to create my own. But that looks a long way off at the moment.

So is there an idiots guide available for the uninitiated?

Be gentle. I've already admitted to being an idiot. That's enough punishment for one night.

G'day Norm,

when you get to the persons "blog" page, it will usuallu have their latest entry open for you to read. If not it will list all the blogs they have submitted by date. It may have a small thumbnail photo on the left and then start with the date and one or two lines of text. Put your curser on the heading of each entry and click your mouse and that entry will open for you.

At the top of the blog page there will be a number indicating how many blog entries the person has at the site.

On the right hand side of the blog page is a calendar. It has month at the top with a little down arrow at the right hand side of the month. The days of the month are below it. If you put your curseor on the arrow beside the month and left mouse click, a drop down menu will come up showing all the months that the person has posted blog entrys for. Just select a month with your curser and click it and all the blog entries for that month will come up in a list for you. Just scroll down and select the one you want to read by putting the curser on the blog heading and clicking it.

I've just posted another one tonight in the list at the top of the forum page. Go and have a look around on my blog page as I have submitted quite a few and get a feel for it. Their dead easy to create and you do that through your own profile page. Exploreoz have submitted a few blog pages on "how to submit a blog" as well (sounds funny that). Go and have a look. You can't mess anything up so go for it.

Cheers and enjoy. It's a great facility to have,

Mick

Thanks Mick,
So I was doing it right.
The first one I tried to lookat at was this one:
Motherhen's Blog
It seems that each of the entries is quite short on this one, which led me to believe I wasn't viewing the whole file.

When I follow the same process with yours, I see the full file.

Some great info and pics in yours by the way.Well done.

Thanks for the info. I'll have a bit more of a play now.

Hi Norm

I checked and see there is an error with mine, in that you are only seeing the first paragraph on them all. I will email David about this.Mine were done in Word and added as attachments. They are showing an error in uploading the full file: Blog Attachment Error: /Uploads - - -

Meanwhile, if anyone would like, i can email them the files which will come with extra travel tips.

Thanks Mother,
Figured it might be something like that.
I just happened to pick your blog to look at first and thought the error was mine - with computer stuff, that is often the case.

Thanks to Motherhen for the email - I have now found and fixed the attachment error and you should now be able to download and read the information.

Thanks David. Norm has pointed out that not all the attachments are there - Tassie East is still missing. Problem is in that i prepared them in word and Blogged them as attachments. I know you have a how to Blog Blog somewhere, so when i get the next group ready, i will try and work out how to put them straight in like Vivien C has just done.

Meanwhile anyone can member message me with their email details and i can send any selected trip report with a bit more info.
