Hi All, could anyone tell me how to stay logged on as I noticed that when you not using the site for only a few min it logs off automatically, a bit of a pain. thanks for any help from you

I don't think you can. I asked the same Q a few months back and David said its an automatic thing on the site.
Still, I will stand corrected.

I think it is probably a security safeguard. I have found it to be a real PITA at times - you go to type a detailed post and then when you go to submit it you gotta log in again.
You could try emailing the Exploroz team. They will give you the definitive answer.
Cheers
Louie

Mr Vintage ,
I am discombobulated . I have never had to log in twice to EO in a day and I leave it open all day. I do not even have to log in when I open it from my FAVOURITES .
What are we doing differently ?
Willie .

Luch,
You need to enhance and expand your "My Profile" so that busy bodies like me, get good value when we take the trouble to have a look.
It's an absolute disgrace , especially when you have an interesting pseudonym like "redvintage" - not that any of us actually drink red.
I am sure that the tech heads on the site will find a quick solution to your problem.
Willie.
PS. Heaven, moi ?

Redvintage,
When you log on, under Your User ID, fill in your member number, then under Password, obviously put in your password, under
Logon Options, check the box Auto
Logon.
I just logged off and went through the process, that is all I have done. Hope this helps.

Hi Luch,
hit the Alert Moderator button. There is a range of options there that will let you ask the real experts of this
forum.
I don't have the problem you have but it may just be a setting you haven't or have selected.
Good luck

I can leave my puter on all day with EO running and it never logs off unless there is a glitch in the EO system.
It must be a setting on your computer which is causing the strife.

I never have to log in.
What browser are you using?
I use FireFox and have setup the password to remember me each time I start FireFox and navigate to ExplorOz.
I have also set it up for other sites that I have to login to as
well.
I think you'll find a setting in your security section of your Browser somewhere that remembers your details.

Hi Guys,
Glad to hear you've sorted it.
If your using a program called
Ccleaner to clear you cookies and browsing history, there is an an option in Options under Cookies to delete or to save Cookies of certain webs so you can keep your log in details.in.
Ccleaner is a very good tool for cleaning all that kinda crap from your computer. And it doesn't cost a thing.

Ccleaner does a great job but can be a WMD in inexperienced hands.
I maintain 4 computers in this household with it and make sure i do the backup of the registry every time, just in case i let it kill something it shouldn't....so far so good :)))))
