Has anyone had trouble with boss airbags fitting ford f250?
I bought a pair for my 04 f250 and brackets delivered wouldn't fit chassy properly. when you try to return them by mail to have brackets changed to ones that fitt they expect you to pay delivery costs for something they supply that doen't fitt. verry unhappy with product and service.

Hi diverdave.
I have fitted out two F250’s with air bags from Truck spring in the US. One was a 02 model and the other an 04, both have the same chassis. Probably the same kits as the Boss.
The problem is that RH drive F trucks are (were) built in Brazil and are full of subtle differences compared to the US built ones that all the accessories are made for.
You no doubt have twin shocks on each side at the rear. The US trucks have only one per side, inboard of the chassis rail. The outer shock mount is right in the way of the upper bag mounting plate. To get over this shift the lower bag mount towards the rear of the U bolt plate on the diff, then make up some 20mm thick spacers to go between the upper mount and the chassis rail, pass the 4 mounting bolts through these spacers to keep them in place. You will need longer bolts as
well. Take care with the U bolts as I found some had excess thread length and interfered with the bag mounting plate.
Ensure the air bag stands perpendicular to the ground, fore and aft as
well as side to side.
I did the second truck this way and on the first one I threw the top mounts away and built news ones to suit. Hard to say which is the better method.
Fitting the air bags to the F trucks made an enormous difference to the ride and handling and towing. Took away that American wallowing ride and stopped all the sway when towing.

I purchasd Boss air bages for my LC 79 series. Spoke with them on the phone pre purchase and they were as nice as pie.
When they arrived the welds had been touched up post rust treatment ...and left in their raw welded state.....untreated....and whilst sound looked 2nd rate and i was unhappy that quality finish.
I phoned and their attitude left a lot to be desired...he was an arrogant prick and told me I didnt know what I was talking about and that simply had not happened...told me to return them at my cost..basically we terminated the phone call...not sure who hung up first!
I rust treated with them with cold galvanising and fitted them and they are performing
well so far with no air leaks etc
would I purchase again.. NO.... BOSS have an attitude problem

Hi diverdave
I've never heard of Boss airbags. We had Firestones fitted this week by F-Trucks in
Perth. We chose Firestones on their reputation compared to other brands. They put them straight on with no problems at all.
We do purchase our F250 spares from USA (eg CPS and radiator hoses).
