Goodevening Everybody,
I was wondering if you are allowed to have open campfires in caravan parks? Would there be individual
park rules or is it a uniform thing over each state if you are or aren't allowed to have them?
I was thinking of purchasing a portable charcoal bbq for use as a small campfire and toasting those marshmallows but I am not sure if I would be allowed to use it in caravan parks. Can anyone shed some light please?

On our last trip we did have
camp fires in many of the caravan parks that we stayed at. We usually try to avoid staying at CP, but sometimes you just dont hjave a choice.
We had one of those small brasiers from Bunnings which has the catch tray that you put underneath. We always asked when we checked in and in most cases they had no issue with it at all.
Quite often we just used the compressed logs from Bunnings also when we couldnt get any wood, such as when we were in Alice. Nice small fire with enough heat for a small group to sit around.
Just ask when you check in, and I think that most
places will be ok with it. At least that is what we found anyway.

Depends on the CP and state fire rules.
The large busy franchised ones don't seem to allow them but the small remote ones don't seem to mind.

A small fire bucket is sometimes acceptable, depending on the CP etc as others have mentioned. My father-in-law made a small fire bucket on the cheap - see
How to make a fire bucket for details.
Cheers

Hi Bekali
We have just come back from a week in the Sth Gippsland area of Vic. The two van parks we did stay in, both allowed fires, one even offered us the use of a fire pit, and fire wood if we wanted ...how's that for service !
Regards
Neil
