Hello
For those that are interested it is now possible to convert raster map images into a format (*.rmp) that can be used with Triton gps units. The program, called RMPmaker, even imports OziExplorer calibration files so process is quick and easy. There are however some limitations - only certain image formats can be imported and maps must be calibrated in WGS84. I have a had a quick go - managed to get airphoto showing up - looked good. Bit of trial and error required. Think Ill stick with OziExplorerCe though:)

RMP Maker

Hello Andrew
Sorry don't have screen shots - the maps/airphotos basically look the same as they would in OziExplorer or in any image viewing software. The RMP images are loaded onto the GPS unit via Magellans VantagePoint software (free download). You can also look at the map images via VantagePoint on the PC. My computer however must have an issue as while the images show on the gps they wont show up in VantagePoint - I must need a flasher graphics card or something??

Cheers
Greg
