Hi all,

We are looking at purchasing a Patrol Ti 4.5 Ltr, its an auto 2000 model. Just wondering if anyone has one or knows of any faults with this model.

Any information would be appreciated.

Regards,

Kerrie.

major fault is the need to cart a fuel refinery around with you to keep up with its thirst.........is it on the gas?

Yes it is on gas.

But we already know what you mean we currently have a GQ and are keeping the petrol stations afloat already.

I have the St 4.5 lt 2000 auto on gas.
Its done 190000 of which Ive done 110000 km.
No major problems so far. It gets serviced regularly and only work other than servicing has been a busted radiator.

More than happy with it

Around town wife drives it mainly. Normally loaded with the 5 kids and school bags etc get about 300km from 88 lts gas

Open road unlaoded up to 450km from a tank

Across the nullabor to Canberra and back a few years ago with a loaded roof rack 4 kids at the time and a camper trailer got 300km from a tank of gas.

I dont have any petrol figures as I dont do any long runs or keep the data.

I think loaded it works out at about 29lts per 100 km

Good car with no real issues Kerrie - it would be good if you could stretch to the 4800 though as its a lot stronger engine and a little more fuel efficent espically in the manual.

Some of them are going at bargain prices , and fuel costs will come down in the short term.
