Sendec Hour/Tacho installation on a Honda Generator

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can guide me on the installation of a Sendec Hour/Tacho monitor on a Honda Eu10i?
The instructions looks fairly simple (wrap the cable around the spark plug wiring) until you actually open up the generator and find it all fully insulated.
Can anyone help? I have looked on other forums for installation pics or vids with no luck.

Yep you just wind these pickups around the insulated wire. Dunno about this brand but they are all similar.

Ok thanks JR I will give that a go. Installation instructions definately said to attach to a exposed piece of wiring and I wasn't too keen to start cutting!
