Is the GPS communicating with the Laptop ? You might have to ret various speed and port settings ?

Alan
I have run many OziExplorer courses for our 4WD club members, so I understand the learning frustrations you are having.
There are many things that may be causing you grief. It is hard to pinpoint the problem without more details. It may be best to talk through some of these issues off line.
Drop me a line (offline) if you would like some help.
Laurie

The first simple answer is that you must get your laptop up and running and Oziexplorer loaded before you switch the GPS on.
Then go to HELP in Ozi and I am sure that you will be able to get around the many facets of the technology. I have had
mine for 6 years now and still learning....lol
Cheers

Hi Alan, have you installed Tapsource trip & Waypoint manager on your PC, if so it's easy to find what com port your using by letting the program detect it and then you'll know which one it is, i have heard some PC have over 45 ports
You can also download Mapsource nroute and that too will do moving maps , if you have city navigator program the PC can also tell you when to turn.
Another thing , are you using the usb lead or the old 4 pin power / data lead from GPSr to PC

The first line should be "Mapsource Trip & Waypoint Manager"
The "T" button is no where near the "M" button on my keyboard so
I don't know how I stuffed that one up .. :-)

Alan,
I'm not using Vista, but the following announcement regarding an upgrade is on the Ozi website :
"6th February 2007 - New release version 3.95.4p of OziExplorer is available for download from the OziExplorer Software page. The only changes made are to fix some issues when using the Windows Vista operating system."
Might be worth checking to see you have latest version.
