How about between the water tank and the tap? Have the flow indicator pointing towards the tap. There are no rules, have fun.

Close to the tank Baz&Mak so if it gaet something under a valve in the pump it doesn't have a great head to lift water to the pump

Baz & Mak,
I don't think it makes that much difference where you install it providing you use a pump to do the job you wan't.What i would also do is to install an on/off switch to the pump as most systems are under pressure when the tap is turned off and if you get a leak while travelling or when the camper is folded up you could end up with a very wet camper.Iinstalled a switch near the battery which Iturn off when the camper is not in use which gives me eliminates any leakage problem.

Hi Baz&Mak

don't think I would put it under the camper - somewhere protected - perhaps inside is a much better idea IMO - under a seat, cupboard, battery compartment or in some other hatch.

Most pumps have a lot of plastic and wont last long on a gravel road. You mention salt - the pump, your wiring and the connectors probably wont last long either if directly exposed to salt & moisture outside.

Have a pump installed in a cupboard no trouble - connected to 2 tanks through a y tap connector - most pumps can lift a bit - might take a little time to prime on first use after an empty tank - they have non return valves so it doesn't happen each use.

Hope this helps
