Well I have to tell the story about this piece of kit. Got it free with a magazine subscription and set about trying it on the Landcruiser. It comes with a shortish lead with a ciggy plug on the end, and extension lead and an adaptor with battery clamps. Didn’t read the instructions just plugged it in and hit the trigger – wizzo the motor spun up but shaft not turning and definitely no nut undoing action. Read the book, it said that if the motor spun without shaft turning and engaging, start the engine, as voltage could be low. So I started the engine and hit the trigger again, still the motor spins and no action. Book also suggested using battery clamps instead of ciggy plug, so clamp straight onto the battery and hit the trigger – still no action. Sit on the ground, engine still running hot and bothered thinking a wheel brace would be quicker. Read book again, useless, play with trigger – motor turns and shaft doesn’t. What if I push the thing hard onto the wheel nut, maybe it needs to engage, no that doesn’t work either. Finally give it one last go and hold the bugger on this time until something happens. Suddenly bang – it works, and works
well. What happens is that the motor needs to spin up until a centrifugal clutch kicks in and all of the motor torque is suddenly delivered to the wheel nut. I just didn’t leave it on long enough for the clutch thingy to work. So, apart from user error and a poorly written instruction book, I have to say it is a good piece of gear. Did I mention wife was watching the whole process?

Gees Mike, I hope she didn't see you reading the instructions. We don't want to ruin our reputation.

The video would have been even better if it were running when it was taken back for warranty claim???
Great bit of kit, use
mine on almost all of our small fleet for years.
Cheers pesty
