I see you have shared the coyright of the map data with Geoscience.

What information of Geosciences' do you use in places?

The ExplorOz Topo 250 map layer is based around the GeoScience Topo 250 Series 3 data. This coupled with our styling and various additional layers is what builds the map images themselves.

The original places information (positions, photos and text) has come from a number of sources, some being positions from the Topo data, our own research, NSW Geographical names Register and a number of other sources - including user wpt files and thousands of new and updated place records from ExplorOz users.

Hope this answers it for you. The copyright notice is in place for the map images themselves as this is the license requirement from GA to publish the S3 Topo data.
