Gone Bush (WA)
With apologies to
the Beach Boys....
After a 12 hour flight from
Perth via Singapore, Mrs Bush and I are having abeer in thebar of the Ramada Inn in Shanghai.
Just about to start a Wendy Wu Tours "Majestic Yangtze".
This place is out of control. Lucky we were passengers for the 30kays from the airport to the hotel because we would be cactus if I was driving. As it was, how many near death experiences can you fit into an hour.
There is an alternative. A train that runs on a magnetic field and does the 30 kays in 7 minutes at 430kph. We will have a go on that tomorrow.
Photos to come. By the way I don't intend to be needing a hearse for some time but I do live by the adage that you don't see many hearses towing trailers !!!
cheers

No traditional rails Jo.
It "levitates" on magnets.
remember high school physics?
Like poles repel. Opposite poles attract.
It's just two bloody big like poles repelling the train off the ground by a few millimetres.
Anyway, I'll video it when we jump on.
