I have just returned from the C.S.R. and was "again" amazed at the amount of people who think they are doing right by the wild animals, by leaving water containers and propping up old parts of the troughs to hold water. Wild animals, in the wild as these are will always find their own water sources, and move with the seasons. By leaving "artificial water sources" some birds etc. come to rely on this. So to all those people (who think that they are doing the right thing) by leaving artificial water sources, have they ever given a thought to who will provide the water in these containers next week?? Wild life will die of thirst if they come to rely on travellers leaving water instead of finding their own.

G'day all

Yes you are quite correct in your obesrvations, anything artificial may come to be relied on by not only the "wild" animals.

The lack of fuel supply deliveries to Well 23 is another point of example, how many people came to rely on that artificial service station?

Gday
It's the same with Little Wes and Ben, they thing Pa's fridge is their fridge.
They seem to be unable to find their own.
