Hi Devil

Use rubber as it helps absorb the vibrations and the poly just transfers them, also you get more flex from rubber.

Have fun

G'day Devil,

On our way around "the block" a few years ago, we stopped in Cairns for a few weeks before going to the tip. the cruiser had about 200k on the clock so i thought it would be a good idea to replace the shackle bushes.
Rubber or Poly? Poly or rubber??
Decided to go with the poly and were fitted by local 4x4 acessory shop. They were pretty noisey when we took off for the Cape but kept going and had a fantastic trip. While we were at Bamaga I had a good look over the old girl (60 series)and noticed the new bushes were chopping out very quickly. They were so bad, i had to get them replaced again, with rubber, at Weipa!!!!!!!!
The Weipa guy said he has replaced lots and won't use poly bushes and neither would I ever again.
I might have just been unlucky, but have never had a prob with rubber bushes. Just my experience, others may differ, good luck if you go the polys. Cheers Nifty.

I agree with Nifty
Fitted Poly to my 60 series and noise and wear forced me back to the Toyota dealer to buy genuine rubber bushes. Wear better and less vibration. Although I saw a troopy with greasable shackles and Poly yesterday and he reckons they are OK. Personally would stick with genuine.
