I’ve just put together a blog entry on some of the amazing
places I’ve been to in the Rudall River National
Park over my visits in the past three years 2006 to 2008. I’m addicted to the place, as are most people who visit.
I’ve lifted a bit of a history from various sources on the web and then added the Exploroz
Places that I’ve either created or updated in respect to Rudall. It’s a good accompaniment to the Exploroz Trek Notes as the ‘place’ entries give a bit more detail to the various highlights. Many are also not listed on the Natmap or Hema maps or in the Trek notes. Hope it helps anyone planning a trip out that way next year. It’s in the Blog list above or here’s the
LINK.
Cheers
Mick

Many thanks for all your hard work on the
blogs that you've done so far. I know I'm not the only one green with envy. I even check the GPS readings to see where you were on the maps.
Strangely enough I've never had any interest in the Rudall River National
Park. I'm off to your blog now to develop one !

Hmm...ANOTHER place to visit ! Fascinating stuff, but so is much of the country those
explorers visited.
I remember a German lady aving to be rescued from that area a couple of years ago. Took a wrong turn apparently. That doesn't seem too hard to do.

Thanks Footy. Get onto Google Earth to help whet your appitite for the place mate. It is simply amazing these days. I have made maps of the Rudall area using it for both Trackranger and Ozi. I have TrackTrace files and Garmin
routes and waypoints if anyone wants them.

Great stuff Mick - we have skirted around Rudall and had planned a trip earlier this year, but got sidetracked to other
places. Like others we will revisit out future plans - Thank You
When you read posts/
blogs such as this and similar from the likes of Equinox and other who are PAYING members of this site, it makes the minor hassles early in the week on the site very unimportant.
These guys are modern day
explorers who document their travels for benefit of those who follow after them. They are a credit to Exploroz
I just cannot understand why you would not to be a Registered Member

Hi Mick,
Great notes! Was there about 5 years ago, and loved it, only regret was that I didn't carry more fuel to check it out in more depth, and will certainly go back unless fuel gets to $5/litre.
Cheers,
Gerry
