We are getting the D-gas conversion done on Monday so will let everyone who is interested know how it goes and whether it lives up to its cost and our expectations! With the cost of Diesel and two Govt rebates available in WA we figured it's best to act now - before someone sees fit to change it!

I also meant to add that it was through researching all past
forum comments on this topic that helped us in our decision. So thanks to everyone.

Looking forward to seeing how you go Trish & Craig, I've read a number of articles re the reported benefits of D-gas, I hope that your experience is equally happy!

Yes Grunter - we are doing a trip next year with our 4WD club to Alice then
Oodnadatta track and back along Null - so really wanted to get it done before any changes made to rebate situation as it's quite a lot of money to outlay. Also we have a 4WD Show on in Nov and we were told that it would be likely a big delay in getting in to get it done as they expect a few orders! We had to wait about a month as it was.

G'day, is your Patrol a 3lt or 4.2? If 4.2, is it standard or modded? Thanks in advance. John

Hi Syd - we get the Federal Govt rebate of $2,000 but we also get a WA State Govt rebate of another $1,000. A good saving!
