Hi
We're planning to take the kids along the
Bridle Track to
Hill End in late November - we've got a Pajero, do we need a
snorkel? We've done mostly beach driving and
Barrington Tops trails, so not quite sure what to expect.
Thanks

The only spot you will cross
water is at turon causeway where the flow ranges from 0 to 12inches. At that crossing if its any higher than 2 feet deep (no where near a
snorkel) then it is flowing that fast I would hesitate to cross. have done it once which is why I would hesitate again after feeling the sideways pressure pushing the hilux.
Go for it you can get deeper puddles than that track generally dishes out. That is of course if you stay on the track.

Last time we went up the
Bridle Track there was a guy in an XF Falcon coming the other way.
You don't need a snorkle

Years ago we did not know it was a 4 wheel drive track, so always just used our holdens. lol. A friend followed me in a au falcon all the way to
Hill End a few years ago, apart from the dust its a nice drive
Cheers Pete

Did the
Bridle Track in a Ford Fairmont Ghia, I feel you will manage quite O.K. without a
snorkel.

Before I moved to WA I lived in
Bathurst and some of my mates and I used to go fishing a lot along the
Bridle Track, you dont even need a 4x4 I used to take my old Fairlane.
The fishing used to be great along there with plenty of Cod and Yellowbelly but the Redfin put a stop to that.

Thanks for all your replies - now instead of worrying about the
water I'll worry about dust! lol

My daily drive is a Pajero. I do 1000's of km's of dirt road for work and never have dust issues.
