Considering a RainMan Camp Shower having tried many other alternatives. Has anyone here purchased one? What do you think of it?

This doesn't help at all but for my opinion of shower tents... have a look here (it's not that serious btw).

Hope you find something that works well for you.

Cheers

From the look of it, you would do just as well with a $30 weed sprayer and fit a shower head onto the hose.

Personal view - but why bother with more stuff to have a hot shower. I find a bucket of warm water and a sponge is quick and easy. Keeps the body clean enough between real showers and uses less water.

I am sure I will get hammered for this but I am amazed at what I see folk carry around nowadays. Guess if you are staying in one place for a while it is different.

Why would you get hammered for suggesting something that is practical and water saving?

I think its probably the way to go. I also think jim's suggestion of a weed sprayer with a shower head attached is also a good one and the feedback from a few that used this method state that they are really good.

Al,

You'd be amazed with our gear. The GLW loves camping, but hates being uncomfortable. So we have a porta dunny, shower tent, hot water service, hair dryer (runs off inverter), solar panel, fridge, generator, breadmaker (runs off gennie whilst recharging aux batt), small gas heater (to get dressed in front of after the shower) and you're gonna love this one.....

Electric blankett on the bed in the camper; gets run off the inverter for about 30 min before bed time so that we don't have to get into a cold bed.

And we always chuck in a Laptop and some DVD's in case it is wet and cold; we can sit inside the camper and watch a movie (only used it once in tha last 4 years, but it's an "in case" item). Also allows me to catch up on some work whilst away.

We've got oodles of space so we take advantage of it. And yes, we do generally stay at the one spot for a number of days.

Cheers,

Jim.
