I'm want to go camping up Bribie beach this weekend and I want to know if the rangers are proactive about campfires? If so then I'll change my plans to Teewah beach, but a friend of mine said campfires are banned there, could anyone confirm this please. Andrew.

correct - fires are not allowed at beach camping sites on Bribie. Rangers do patrol. BTW - need vehicle permit and must pre-book camp sites.

Hi Craig, not sure where I will end up as I don't really want to go too far north, but want to stay on the beach if I can. I might go to Poverty Point, but not decided yet. I'll email you some info i've collected on the Cape trip.

Good to see you are still around Shawsie. Would be worth checking with the rangers but I heard it was very difficult to get passed the second lagoon at the moment on Bribie.

Enjoy wherever you go.
Regards, Trevor.

Hi Trev, yeah still alive & kicking ;o) Been busy looking after foster kids and building a deck (urk!), oh yeah and that thing called work - always gets in the way lol.

I spoke to a guy at work who lives on Bribie and says the rangers are VERY pro-active as more & more people are heading up there. We've got 2 girls with us and I wanted a place (beach) where I could have a small campfire. I might have to head up to teewah, but the 2nd lagoon on Bribie is such a beaut spot for lazin around. I might also end up at poverty point as fires are still ok in the fireplace's. So many choices LOL.

Cheers

Mt Mee long time!!!!!!!
Unfortunately Mark isn't improving, has been going the opposite way for a while now.
We haven't gotten out at all since the January gathering in NSW! my God that is shocking!, just had so much going on here, my work etc, and Mark. it make things very hard for play. But we are going to head over to Fraser in the first week of December, I have already put in for the time off, so we are doing it.. just gotta make sure that we got room for the camping gear since we have to carry all the boxes and stuff that he needs to do dialysis for that week on the island!
How is Carolyn?
