Hi all again
Looking at putting a 3" exhaust on a 12 HT 60 seris with just a couple of hot dogs for noise reduction (has a long range fuel
tank and muffler space is limited) is this a sound plan? It is possible to fit a 3rd hot dog past the rear axle if required.
Kind Regards again from GN

GN. In my days a Hot dog was not for noise reduction, that is what a muffler did :-). Hot dogs were designed to less restrict the flow of gasses and as such noise as
well. We put on Hot Dogs to give us more sound. Better than nothing though! Saying that - Three dogs may quiten it down a bit. Cheers Tony

Hi Tony
Yep i agree, we did too, ???? The exhaust bloke sugested it so i dont know. I did see a cruiser with no muffler but still a full length pipe recently and it was not as loud as you would expect, but no good for on road (it was a paddock basher)
cheers GN
