it make you think why it takes so long for someone to come up with a better thing.

pulsating has all ways been a big problem in engineering drive shafts at an angle.

Cheers

Richard

PS. I have seen and read about it before but it's very interesting

It is 2 uni's (same as a double cardan). The trick bit is keeping the angles right.

Very informitive Col.....now i know where my economy went whem i lifted the cruiser. The jury is still out for me on whether you should swap back to the Ni##an transfer case....you got to love the lower gearing in low, amd i bet you would like to try some taller 4.2t diff ratios, which would change the speed at which the vibrations start occuring too.

The drive line specialist is looking at it as we speak, I will see what comes of that before anything else. The transfer case option is a long shot that will possibly never happen. Jason is also investigating the Thompson option along with the specialist.
Will keep you posted.
Cheers, Colin.

Dunno if id go that way Col, u cant get em out the back of Blackall :)
Id be looking at fitting a double cardon because i fixed my front tailshaft vibration issues that way on mine.
If that didnt work well enough, id be looking at a 80 series rear diff as a further upgrade...they come in 4.1 .. i know nis##n do 4.1 up front...80's run fully floating axles up back...a third option that would assist to lower vibration would be to lift her up .... dont know if thats an option or not....doggy might protest
