Just replacing the free wheel actuator on the front diff ($520 Holden ,$240 wrecker)
Dont want to do it again so I am after bash plates in
Melbourne if possible, or a template to make them out of 3 mm steel.
8/2003 RA manual 4 door.
Thankyou Vic

Hi Vic,
Just had a quick look on internet & found that TJM...
http://www.tjm.com.au/
do an underbody guard for the new Holden Colorado, need to find out if it can be adapted to suit the RA Rodeo, couldn't see the price anywhere.
Regards, John

I would think that a sheet metal workers would be able to make something up if they had hold of the vehicle for a few hours. It may be worth asking.

Hi Vic S,
I actually just had a go at making one of these on Sunday.
It was actually a distraction from what I was doing that cropped up. I have been having the "RA Rodeo" frustration about front recovery points. I went past the local holden dealer to look at another vehicle to confirm what it looked like underneath (before my bullbar) with regards to original hooks, etc. and whether anything had changed with the Colorado.
The Colorado was nicely sitting with the front
wheels on high stands and I noticed that that they have put an extra "sump gaurd"/bash plate. This is something I've been going to look at, so that became my distraction for a few days.
I have a photo here of under a Colorado:
Colorado sump gaurd
It tucks in under the front gaurd/plate and goes back to the cross member behind the diff/sump.
I had a go at making one out of a leftover half length of 3mm x 100mm sheet (joined the bits on an angle to make a slight ridge to try and add some strength).
A part way photo of that is here:
home made gaurd
I haven't used it yet :) It is a bit rough, but looks like it should work.
I tried to find out about a plate mentioned on the TJM website, but gave up trying to convince the local TJM
shop that it existed and convince him to talk about the same part number as listed - nothing seemed to match with him for 2007 RA, so we struggled to go forward.
I spoke to the local Holden dealer about getting the Colorado plate as a part and they quoted me $350.
My vehicle is a 2007 and underneath it looks exactly the same as under the Colorado.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Cameron.

Thanks all
I have tried TJM but was very frustrating as the guy had no idea of the product at all and in the end told me they dont do one I tried to explain that they are on their web page but I think he had put it in the too hard basket !!!!
I have now got a price of $60 for a cut to size 3mm steel 700mm x 1200mm from Dandenong Steel Sales and once I work out the angles Westys in Ferntree Gully will do three bends for $50 six bolt later and every thing from the front back to the second cross member will be protected.
Also found out that the hub modulator could of been short term repaired with a tube of silicone as it senses the shift via a vacume switch and when it was hit the plastic cracked.
Vic
