Has any one had any experience with these tyres? If so how do they preform on the black top in the wet, also what sort of K's would one expect to get.

Cheers David

WD,

dont know much about the 71s but i have the 78s, have done approx 15k on them and are very happy with them. when my trip tyres are worn out i will also look at these, mine appear to be wearing well, good wet and dry grip and good handling also. bag well at low pressure and for the A/T perform very well in the mud and rocks. cheers Paul

I run the 78s, but friend has the 71s on a pajero, mainly bitumen running and finding them great. Only done about 5000k so far so no longer term report yet.
As per the 78s, seem to be a middle milage tyre with slightly softer rubber for good grip, compared to say Maxxis. I find Maxxis give more milage but seem to be a harder rubber and not quite as much grip on wet/dry bitumen.

Theres a thread on outerlimits about it. Gen Tech section.

People who have them like them (but thats alwyas the case), but they say they wear real quick.

I personally like the look of em but they are soft compound.

I too have the 78's, you won't be disappointed if you get them, very good AT tyre that actually performs well on wet surfaced roads.

Kuhmo buy their tyres in Aussie $ from Korea - whereas a LOT of the other brands buy in $US from China etc.

Due to the fluctuations in the $US against the Chiense yen of late th4 Kumho's have actually worked out cheaper price due to strength of the Oz$ than cheaper produced tyres from China that now are more expensive in Oz.

Thats why Kumho are probably the "best buy" in Oz at the moment and getting harder to find as the demand soars.

Had a good run out of ours, 40,000 and not down to the wear indicators yet - reckon we will get 60,000 easily Maybe more!
Compound seems to harden with age, they wear more when first fitted than when 8 months old.

Cheers
