I have no particular views re one fridge v any other, but I am pleased with a recent example of Waeco service. On our recent trip, the Waeco C50 (purchased through Fridge shop on this site) gave up. Service report said it was a blocked capilliary and unfixable and wrote to Waeco re the nature of the problem, even though the unit was actually just out of warranty. Waeco contacted me with a couple of good offers that I think were more than fair in the circumstances. Not happy that it broke down at a time when we really needed it, but very happy about the manner in which the company and their SA agents dealt with it.

I have to agree with good Waeco service.
I recently purchased a 40litre unit which was delivered by courier at my expense.
The fridge worked fine but the power light would not show.
Waeco couriered out a replacement fridge with prepaid courier papers for the return of the first fridge, all at their expense.
All communications were very pleasant, and I would have to say that the overall service was equal to the best I ever had.
No affiliation etc., but very happy.
Cheers

Good to here...

we had a little bit of the lift-up-the-lid handle come off and took the piece down to the camping shop where we bought it, they said they get this all the time and just gave us another bit to replace it....apparently waeco just gives them a box or 2 full of them every now and then just incase its needed....

I have no particular views either ...but I am happy with ENGEL's service..

I have a 39 litre one and it has been all over the outback for 9 years and hasn't been any problem, in fact its so good i never had it up over 3.5 on the dial ...

Service is so good i dont need to prop up my story with all those excuses that WAECO owners seem to have to prove to us that theirs is the best !!...Bull bleep , we all know they are a second string unit and they would love to be as good as an Engel..

But keep on bleating all you dealers and owners ...it makes fascinating reading !!!
