With acknowledgement to Richard on the LCOOL200 site.

Richard brought to our attention the Luxury Tax law as passed recently.

Luxury car Tax

Anyone who ordered their vehicle before the budget is exempt from the increase.

I ordered my 200 series in March but when picking it up at end of July had to pay the increase in tax (about$1300) as it had not been passed into law at that point.

I have been in contact with my dealer who agrees and states tat refunds will be paid after the Nov BAS adjustment for luxury tax payments.

Thought I'd pass on the great news toanyone who may have ordered a car but not picked it up before the budget.

Well that is good news Alan.

My new vehicle is a 70 Series Toyota. Regardless of its price, even the pollies are smart enough to realise it is far rom a luxury vehicle. So nothing to refund for me.

Good news for many others though.
