Hi Brenton W
We purchased a Canopy from A R B, when we had the Navara,
the Canopy came with Heavy Duty Support Brackets, which were
located underneath, the brackets took the shape of the roof of the canopy, and extended down to the edge of the
Well on the vehicle,
On top, sections protruded through the roof of the Canopy, to
support the Cross Bars, it was sealed and made Water/ Dust Proof,
and the Canopy was Color Coded to suit the Vehicle,
PS, Check Photo in my Profile.
Cheers
Daza

i had a low height canopy (same height as cab all way to the rear) on a mazda bravo and a few weeks later I wished i had went for the higher one...the ones with the rise at the rear....it was a real pain to get into
if you want real heavy duty racks get an outside system for the supports to the rack..if not heavy dudty make sure you have internal supports for the rack

Hi Brenton,
On the Navara we opted for an
Alpha canopy from Blueys Ute World.
Alpha are made in Thailand and are fibreglass, therefore a little heavy but very strong. It came with roof bars and we had it colour matched to the ute.
The Mrs thinks it looks real nice! Cost about $2800 from memory.

Brenton,
Look at the Ironman range, I am sure they would be suitable for your requirements and very
well priced
Cheers Kev

Hello Brenton, I have one of those ugly one's (hi-roof) on a Hi-Lux from ARB, I recommend a high roof with hopper windows, more user friendly, the only down side is not been able to put roof racks on it, but I have never found a need for racks with the high room, Tony.

carryboy canopies i think are very schmick looking, they have a shape that blends
well and does look quite wagon-like when colour matched

Hello Brenton,
I have an 06 DC Hilux complete with an ARB low-style plastic canopy which meets your specifications. The canopy is fitted with carry bars supported by a robust internal frame. I also add a Thule carry bar to the cabin roof when carrying long items such as wood or steel. I add a storage rack to the canopy cross bars when four-wheel driving.
Access to the canopy is not usually a problem. I'm 6 foot 5 inches tall and have no problems getting into and out of the canopy when necessary. Also, the low-style canopy let you reach items secured to the carry bars with ease.
The suggestion made in one post to opt for the lift up side windows is spot on. My wife and I run a market stall and being able to manipulate the goods from the side windows is very handy. We rarely get into
the tub! However, I recently saw a canopy with one flip up window and one sliding window. The dog secured in the canopy was very pleased to have some fresh air !
Hope this may help.
Netnut
