I have just recently had our Chescold 50ltr 3 way fridge/freezer repaired by
Paul Winmill Caravan Rentals & Repairs.
Just wanted to let people know what a great job they did of it.
The unit must be
well over ten years, It's the
Grey model.
I had noticed over a period of time that it slowly wouldn't keep temperature while on gas, 240v wasn't a problem, made an excellent beer fridge. Anyway I took it to Paul and he tested it for awhile, so he ordered a new jet and thermostat. I was in no rush for it back, Several weeks later he rings to say that it's fixed.
Hand over my cash and brought it home.
It works like a bought one, it will put a good covering of ice over a 4ltr ice cream container of
water from room temp over night. In two days it will freeze solid a 2ltr Cottee's cordial container of
water on gas.
Ya gotta be happy with that.
So if anyone around the
Grafton area needs work done on their 3 way fridge/freezes I would definitely recommend Paul and the guys to do the job.
Looking forward to using it in a few weeks when we make our yearly trip to Woody head for a week.
Happy Days :))

Did you try cleaning the jet first?
I had the same thing happen and it was fine after I cleaned the jet with a bit of metho and a toothbrush.

Yeah I did,
Spent heaps of time cleaning it. Paul said, even though you could see it clean it did not allow the right amount of gas through.
I had read here and elsewhere about how to clean it and tried all manner of things, none of them worked. In the end I took it to Paul and was happy to have him fix it for me.
