Hi guys, I'm trying to locate a replacement kettle/billy for the camper. My current billy is great in design/size/shape but made of aluminium. Didn't think this was a problem, until a friend had a hissy fit about aluminium and brain disease or something (? causes alzheimers or something - I forgot). Anyway - my friend was adamant that aluminium is a no go. So can anyone give me a clue as to where I can get an alternative? I was hoping for enamel as this would be lighter than cast iron- which is the only alternative I have been able to find so far. I like the 'billy' style ie can shaped receptacle with spout and overhead handle. Is this making sense? Having no luck with regular
forum search or internet search so far. Thanks. doc.

You an get exactly the same billy in stainless steel from most good
camping shops. They are my favourite too.

Nothing linking these diseases with Aluminium. Google "aluminium causing alzheimers" and you'll soon see.

My saucepans at home and in the caravan are probably all aluminium and we occasionally drink from aluminium cans. I don't think one billy can when you go
camping will have a dramatic effect on your life.
Now what's my name????

Hi,
Any good
camping or Army Disposal store will have what you want.
Just had a look on Ebay Oz and there are quite a few, this one might be what you are after, just put the number in the 'Advanced search' spot.

Hope this helps you.
