I have,
I don't know of a "floor" that goes under the original awning, Most people make something up from shadecloth (or similar).
The other problem you may have is that the sides are seperate from the floor, no screen or wall, and creepy crawlys have no problems with access to whatever is in there, thats going the peaked sides/deluxe front panel path.
I use this area for luggage eskies and chairs, so they are out of sight (not really secure),as
well as change room, I wouldn't leave the kids out there overnight unless you where prepared to go to great lenghts in ensure that the where the sides meet the groung/floor, nothing could get in, unlike the sleeping Quarters which can fully seal out mozzies and the like.

G'day Matske,
yep i have the RV5 with the three panels and the "floor saver" which fits the RV5 to front panel footprint nicely. If you just need to have that second room for the cot then yep, it is ideal. A throw over mozzie net for the top of the cot would suffice, and I assume the cot (porta cot style) is raised on feet anyway so no issue with creepies. We looked at the screen room too, and as an alternative, but decided the panel gig would suffice (and it has) and would have the flexibility for various other set ups that are possible with the three panels. You could probably get the "floor saver" thrown in if you tried. A ripper bit of kit mate. Depending where you
camp, you need to weigh up having the sprog between you and the outside however......
cheers.

Be very very careful as the canvas tent heats up quickly when the sun gets on it even with the fly . If you can afford it then just buy 2 x RV4s . You can set up the screen room under the main tent awning and the new ones come with zip down covers that can be used as awnings as
well . My main concern would be that it defeats the purpose of a quick setup by having to set up the screen room every time you want to set the main tent up . If he is at the crawing stage then yeah , good fun . I would seriously consider 2 tents because you can sell one when you are finished with it for nearly what you paid for it LOL .

We have the RV5 with the pitched walls etc. Good gear I reckon. We set it so my wife and I are on a self inflator in the tent. My son is on a self inflator in the tent with us (leaves about 2 feet between the mattresses. My daughter is on a stretcher in the outer part.
We never close the tent section when it's configured like this. No need to.
As for the floor thing, my mate has the Oz Tent brand thing but I have a 2.4m x 6m CGear floor that really is the ducks nuts.
If I plant the tent down so the back of the tent frame is sitting on the edge of the floor then it opens so that the front annex (wall flap) reaches the other end. The only bit of tent not on the floor is the very back part of the tent.
