Anyone else finding this site very slow of late?
It's driving me nuts, threads are so slow to open and so slow to go back to Index.
Tried three times this afternoon to post a Trader Ad. Except for everything being so slow all went
well each time until I hit the "next" button after placing text and pictures. Each time the process seemed to "time out".
I then got a message telling me the page could not be found and that I had connectivity problems.
Any other site works O.K. and at a decent speed.
Do you think that I'm not holding my mouth right?
Ian

Bob,
No blues at this end. I'm having a good chuckle LOL but this site definitely has more performance issues than any other that I regularly visit. I've reported them through the proper channels but they are intermittent.

Must be the mouth thing, Ian.
Working the quickest I have experienced in a long time, was a bit slow yesterday at times but I put that down to my server.
Cheers,
Dennis

Ive been experiencing this slow performance for a week or more now.
Just went into the Bushtracker
Forum, had a look at the weather radar, logged on to my bank accounts to see how much money I don't have. All of them open in a flash as I would expect with cable broadband.
Not this damn site.

I have experienced very slow load times for a few months now, maybe with all the mass of active advertising on the site now.. its flashing on the top, running up and down the sides, its EVERYWHERE!!! Most other sites open within a few secs but slow even moving between pages!! Michael

Dunno Kev!
May
well be, I'm totally ignorant with this computer stuff, once I've turned it on and got in to a program I've used what technical expertise I might have.
However, still does not explain why this site is agonisingly slow whilst everything else is as quick as a flash.

Darrell,
See my previous follow up. I'm stumped.
I am going to publicly admit that I have no idea what AVG is other than "Anti Virus Aomething.

Ian,
Have you got Google Earth running at the same time. I find that often slows things down a bit. The other big contributer is your anti-virus software. It can put a big dent in speeds.
I've been getting good speeds here, expecially with my photo laden
blogs.
Cheers Mick

No Mick, no Google earth. Checked that I had no other programs running, done the defrag thing, cleared files, deleted temporary Internet files etc..:
As I said earlier, this damned site only.
Driving me nuts.
I'm getting to the point where I'm seriously considering hitting the yellow pages for a computer doctor - How humiliating is that?

Speed is great and been good for long time. On Bigpond 3G with Yagi 1 bar solid at 193k to the tower. Eat your heart out Optus and Vodafone.
I doubt the majority would be complaining about the moderation and many would be saying not before time.

Slow as a wet week at home currently, but quite quick at the factory.
Used to be the other way around, so I don't put it down to this site, must be something in my systems.
Jim.

Its the oppressive Bill Gates Browser he calls, somewhat innocently, Internet Explorer. Amazingly it seems a little faster with EO tonight. I am crushed I thought Firefox was the ducks nuts.

Thats It!
I've had enough, I'm going to bed.
Tomorrow is another day.
Now as far as my ad goes, there is the Trading Post, EBay, a
spot on the side of the local main road and a hand written addy on the notice board at my local shopping centre.

Glenn,
I'm using XP Pro and Firefox so I think the problem is elsewhere. Maybe we're just timing it badly when EO are doing some major updates.
