Saw a couple of familiar explorozers roaming around Geographe Bay on the weekend for the WA leg of the Anaconda Adventure Race.

Near purrrfect conditions, with a glistening bay, and warm (and mostly dry) trails.

Well done David, a commendable effort on a very tough course.

Thanks Mike, Did you compete? I saw a lot of EO stickers on vehicles with various bits of event equipment strapped on. I have added my results and some photos to my latest Blog entry.

Yes David, I did compete. I undertook the Paddle leg and MTB.

Paddle leg was tough, as I have done very little ocean paddling, mainly flatwater, and the ride was, well very enjoyable, placing 33rd overall for the leg and 3rd for our category.- a result Im very happy with. Overall we were middle of the field for our corporate team category.

You passed me just outside of Biningup on the way home today, White Jackaroo with an orange Ski and a couple of bikes on the rear.

Have a good one, and see you there next year ;)

Mike,

I did notice your vehicle Michelle waved as we went past, saw the sticker.

33rd on the bike - bugga me that is very good well done. I was not as happy with my bike as I would like. I was riding a mates bike and had heaps of problems with the gears being backwards to mine. I was trying his bike because it weighs a lot less than mine and I have been thinking of upgrading. Maybe I should have spent some more time up the hills on it before the weekend. Anyway cannot complain I finished in one piece and had a good day with the swim, bike and team run.

My next event is back to the more sane events being the first of this years Triathlon events the Hillarys Tri on the 16th Nov. I will be back on my bike of choice the road bike oh and of course the swim and the run (thank goodness the tri's are only short runs).

Have a good one and yes I will be there next year.

BTW: Anyone need a road bike rider for the Busselton Full Iron Man?

haha, yep, its always good to get through unscathed.

I did see Michelle wave.

Interesting you speak of Tris, as I am thinking of having a crack at a few of the shorter ones this summer. May see you out there. Also, there is a 12hour enduro coming up later in the month for the MTB's, always a good one to put a team together for...
